“I like this podcast, but I wish that Dhru would challenge the guests a little more. For example, Mindy Peltz said she was blown away that a woman who had a hysterectomy did not need hormone replacement later in life and she attributed this to fasting. A hysterectomy is removal of the uterus, and nothing more. The uterus does not make hormones. If this woman had her ovaries, then there should be no reason she would not make normal sex hormones for her age. Since this show was focused on women in particular, I thought this was a very big oversight. Surgical removal of the ovaries is an oophorectomy.”
