An Overdue Rest In Peace and Power to the Hart Children
It’s high time that someone really told this story. When the Hart’s death was first reported, I immediately recognized Devonte from that infamous picture of a sobbing little boy, wrapping his arms around a smirking police officer in riot gear. But while big news outlets speculated on the deaths, many seemed to overlook this connection. Some evangelical outlets continue to use the death of these children to further homophobic rhetoric, but largely, the world moved on far too quickly. Maybe, a few years after the protests in Baltimore and Ferguson, two years into the current presidency, the facts and issues surrounding these children’s lives were too hard to grapple with for many people. But it seems like this podcast’s hosts, like many of us, did not forget about the Hart children and their mothers, and want to talk about it. Although we’re only on episode one, it’s clear the hosts are here to remember and respect the lives of the late children and finaly examine the forces at play here. I stand by the first episode, and remain optimistic about this podcast.

More reviews of Broken Harts
It feels so wrong to give a 5-star review to a story so horrifically sad, but it deserves it! This is so sad and such a mystery. How people can lead double-lives like this is so fascinating. I’m utterly intrigued and am anxiously awaiting the next episode.
