GREAT POD! Teaming Malcolm and Rick is inspired thinking. Just one request... Please do a feature episode with Herbie Hancock! Thanks in advance...

I look forward to each episode and the great discussions had on this podcast, especially the great questions Rick Rubin asks from his perspective. I love when the artists are willing to play a bit on the show, but regardless, each episode is wonderful!

Jason Isbell talks about pushing his audience with White Man’s World. Maybe. But why no mention of the Michael Kiwanians song I’m a Black Man in a White World which came out a year earlier. Isbells’ sounds so similar and there is no question asked about influence. If this is supposed to be in...Read full review »

This is the best podcast on music. The interviews are like eavesdropping on late night fireside chats with all your favourite people in music. The Booker T and T Bone Burnett episodes were my favourites as well as Robbie Robertson episode.

Malcolm is by far the best interviewer, no question about it. He's engaging, friendly, he knows his stuff about the artist, he asks prying questions that lead to awesome stories. Hats off to Malcolm! I wish he did all the episodes. Bruce and Rick are hit or miss, mostly miss. Bruce is just...Read full review »

Bruce and Rick are terrible interviewers. Their questions are just so dull and lead to boring interviews with great artists.

Love hearing this interview with Kevin from Tame Impala but what’s up Rick??? You can’t get yourself on a decent microphone for your own show? I’ve been doing remote podcasts with non professionals for two months now and we always seem to be able to get a decent microphone to record both sides...Read full review »

This podcast is unlike any other starting with the host. Rick Rubin is one of kind in his own way with connections to so many different types of artists that no one but him could host such a podcast. The episode with Robbie Robertson was off the charts cool. Thank you!

Enjoy the podcast and thought I could rely on its integrity to purchase from an advertiser but Raycon is a dishonest vendor.

Great artists reflecting upon their lives and work. Always interesting to listen to the artists, Malcolm Gladwell and the other interviewer. Rick Rubin is not an interviewer and he mostly talks about how great the artist is who he is supposed to be “interviewing.” He is the connection for...Read full review »

This show is about the human experience. It’s not a hermetically sealed montage of virtuosity and formality with artists as gods peering down from on high (albeit everyone involved is spectacular). This show is a conversation between humans about the experience of making this bizarre ineffable...Read full review »

Problem is the level of musicians interviewed and the topics discussed. Ozzy: What can you say? It could have gone on for hours and I would have listened to it all. Robbie Robertson: I was so excited to listen to this one. It was very disappointing. Of all the things to talk about and he just...Read full review »

Again, with Robbie Robertson, it was barely a conversation. At the beginning you guys were going on and on about how big this one was. Then it’s a paltry 45 mins?? The show is barely realized. Either it needs to be in multi parts — this one could have gone on for 2plus hours. Please PLEASE...Read full review »

I love how deep and introspective these conversations are between Rick/Malcolm and artist. Their vulnerability and genuineness really comes through in these conversations. This is so refreshing to hear!

This white, middleaged, hiphop illiterate woman was blown away by Andre 3000 - his honesty, intelligence, insightfulness and vulnerability. This week’s interview with Ozzy Osborne is one of the best. It blew my mind completely at about 35 minutes in. Keep up the outstanding works, team!

new favorite podcast! music obsession is my specialty, and listening to anyone talk about the subject is always fun for me. however, i think these episodes should be a touch longer. it seems like a lot of times info is being cut out, or stepped around.
