Ramsey Shimmy is the Head of IGCSE at Port Said School in Cairo, Egypt and the Head of Literature and English department.  We discuss the various roles that teachers play when students are being bullies or getting bullied and the crucial role of parents working with teachers to find a solution.

In the light of Instagram’s newest innitiave ”Take care of your words” or “be mindful of what you say”  #حاسبوا_على_كلامكم we sat down with Nadia Diab-Caceres, who is the Policy Manager for Instagram in the MENA region. We discussed ways of how users could take control of their experience on Instagram, how they could protect themselves from bullying and ways they could report incidences. 

Sabah Khodir is a writer and Human Rights Activist. She was one of the reasons that moved the harassment cases in Egypt to be investigated.  Sabah dives into how children who don't face accountability for their bullying behaviour early on, turn into harassers who don't see their actions as a wrongdoing. 

Mohamed Abd El-Hamid works in the advertising field. He shares with us his perspective on bullying and how the bullying he faced in his childhood has shaped him. 

Nada Mawsouf is an aspiring film director. She graduated with a Major in Multimedia Journalism and Minor in Psychology. She shares with us her journey with bullying and how it has lead her to stand up for her self, speak up about bullying and help those who are struggling with it.

Bullying happens everywhere and to nearly everyone. We are here to shed more light on this topic.  Through education and awareness we could start to tackle this subject and continue the conversation of the impacts it has on everyone and how we can hope to stop it.
