Useful career advice
A good companion to manager tools. I listen to both as one of the first things on my list. Actionable information presented in a useful fashion. You might not agree with all that Mark and Mike say, but I'd also suggest giving their advice a try before casually disagreeing. Oh, and to the reviewer who questioned a 1 page resume in 2011 -- Absolutely. I'm a hiring manager and there are many places where a well-written one page resume will get you a lot farther in my queue than a longer one. A good one-page resume shows that you know how to summarize effectively, which is a critical skill, in very short supply. Agreed that things are sometimes a bit too conversational. A bit more focus would be useful, but it's still extremely relevant and extremely valuable.Read full review »
