Mostly Loving the Podcast
The research that goes into each episode is second to none, as far as the true crime podcasts I’ve listened to. I enjoy that the episodes cover cases from all over the world and from various points in history. My one slight niggle is some of the narration. I don’t know many Australians so cannot say whether it is a ‘usual’ aspect of the accent however the addition of syllables to words (or between words) can be really distracting. In the Belanglo series, Belanglo was consistently pronounced Belang-a-lo and often the ‘a’ is added between two words in a sentence, such as ‘tried to’ becoming ‘tried-a-to’. It seems really petty writing it out but it’s caused me to pause several episodes before continuing at a later date (because ultimately, the re-telling of these cases is excellent)
