Description
[Hey! This episode is also a video on youtube! Go check it out! Link below.] In this episode, I explain the Buddhist tradition of "Khao Phansa", or also known as the Buddhist Lenten season, and figured I would take the opportunity to show the differences between it, and the history of the development of the Catholic Lenten Season and show why saying "Buddhist Lent" is not accurate.. To do it, I read from the Catholic Answers website, for a brief timeline of the Catholic Churches Lenten history. Mainly focusing on the development of the forty days of the Lenten season from as early as we can go, to the present day. In the next episode we will pick up where we left off and go over the development of the Lenten Fast. I will include the link to the Catholic Answers website I used below in case you would all like to go and read for yourself. Until then enjoy the history of this incredibly important penitential season. God Bless!!!
