Warmachine!

A great podcast that will go into the mechanics of various lists/casters/factions and why things work or don't work. It's very informative.

Grading Chain Attack Grading Geekery

I’ve been listening to this Podcast since it was strictly Warmachine focused. Now they have branched out to discuss more forms of media, such as books, movies, computer games, and board games. I find the hosts to be entertaining and informative. However, the last few months the sound levels host to host have been inconsistent. Also, Chain Attack could be improved with the addition of a tech tree.

Getting worse with every episode

I loved this podcast for years even with the switch in editions and formats it stayed relevant, informative and engaging. Recently it’s just taken a nosedive. The first 20-30 minutes is now pointless banter, which is fine I can skip it but it still feels like it’s taking time away from the topic at hand. The biggest issue I’m having is it feels like some of the hosts have just barely a passing connection to the game and the topics they are talking about. Trevor just seems miserable and brings everything down, he doesn’t convey an ounce of joy in anything Jay or Josh talk about and it makes listening to this podcast an absolute chore. Why even bother talking about Warmachine if you barely play the game and have nothing positive to say? A dissenting opinion is fine but complaining and whining about every single tiny thing is pointless and makes me tune out. Josh has a lot of enthusiasm and seems generally interested in things even when he’s out of the loop. I’m so glad Jay has another show these days because he’s a great host and shines when he’s interviewing players with an actual passion and knowledge of the game.
