Isn't it ironic that majority of us have OR will spend approximately 20% (or more) of our lives in school getting formal education yet, most of us are never truly ready for life after school in the areas of employment and wealth creation. Does it blow your mind just how many people fall off and even lose their lives in pursuit of mainstream "success". Ideologies like these are the reason why this podcast exists. We dissect and reexamine most held ideologies about our culture, beliefs, relationships, wealth, and leadership. We welcome critical thinking, introspection, and love of progress.

Were Black People Really Not Ready For Freedom As Vusi Thembekwayo Says? Or Is There Something Else Going On?

Were Black People Really Not Ready For Freedom As Vusi Thembekwayo Says? Or Is There Something Else Going On?

African people were never ready and will never be ready and they are not the only ones exhibiting this behavior. This phenomenon is uniform to all human beings around the world. It’s not only in black people. For Example:

Jesus was rejected by his own people. This is why he said “no prophet is accepted in his own hometown.
Uber was fought by Yellow cab companies all over America. If you want to know more about this story you can watch it on The ShowTime show called Super Pumped, the story of Uber.
Elon Musk’s SpaceX program was rejected and discouraged by a lot of people including astronaut legends like Armstrong.
How about Gallileo who was tortured by the Catholic Church because he questioned the Bible when he discovered that the Sun was not the one rotating around the Earth rather, it was the Earth that was rotating around the Sun. People used to believe the Sun rises in the morning and falls down in the evening. To the naked eye, that’s how it seemed until Gallieo came around and discovered a Telescope.

So, as you can see, BLACK PEOPLE are not the only ones with these behaviors. Now, let’s find out the psychological barriers that are behind what Vusi calls not being ready and crab mentality.

What’s really going on in people’s minds when they reject and fight something that is good for them like what Vusi was trying to do.

How To Become The High Value Person

How To Become The High Value Person

You are the sum of your habits. You become what you constantly do. As the author of Atomic Habits puts it, “Your outcomes are a lagging measure of your habits. Your net worth is a lagging measure of your financial habits. Your weight is a lagging measure of your eating habits. Your knowledge is a lagging measure of your learning habits. Your clutter is a lagging measure of your cleaning habits. You get what you repeat.”

Yabes: On Irresponsibility Of Our Generation And What We Can Do.

Yabes: On Irresponsibility Of Our Generation And What We Can Do.

When we are born, we never imagine growing up and becoming our own caretaker. From age zero, we depend on our guardians to motivate, push, and guide us in everything we do. Unfortunately, most of us never prepare for the day that our caretakers won't be there anymore. Taking responsibility is about self parenting, self leadership, and self authoring. Ask yourself these following questions to know if you are responsible.

    - If no one told you what to do, would you know what to do?

    - When is the last time you learned a skill on your own?

    - When is the last time you asked someone for advice?

    - Are you consistently searching for solutions on your own?

If your answer to any of these questions is NO, then you need to examine your life.

You are the manager, secretary, and auditor of your days. Take a deep look into your life and take ownership of your life. Spend every hour with intentions doing something productive. They say, luck is when opportunity meets preparedness. It's your job to be prepared in order to be blessed.

Finally, African Youth Speak Up

It’s been long overdue!
Chamber Podcast has impressed me because the host (and guests) delve into topics that are often controversial. Topics that have for a long time had a negative effect in one way or the other within our African cultures. Now, with their enlightenment, our young African brothers and sisters are tackling head-on very hot topics that need re-evaluation and questioning so as to make a better now as well as tomorrow one African country at a time.

Thank you Sauti Zetu for always invigorating my mind with these diverse topics time and time again
