Elton John reveals in his autobiography that in the beginning he splashed cash on flowers, extra houses and art until his accountant sat him down and told him he’d soon run out of money. At this point Elton worked hard to get a handle on his finances, but STILL spent money on the luxuries that bring him joy. In the past, I've spent money that I didn't really have to make myself feel better. I’ve avoided looking at my bills.
