Eileen Gu, the best of China and America combined
Listen now
Description
February 8 is a special moment for "sports fans" in both China and the United States. Eileen Gu made history on this day, winning the women's freestyle ski jumping championship at the Beijing Winter Olympics. Her mother was born in Shanghai and grew up in Beijing. About 30 years ago, she immigrated to the United States, married an American, and gave birth to Gu. Later, the marriage broke down, and she brought Gu up alone. Gu not only showed her talent in skiing, she is also a piano master. Her SAT is almost perfect. After the Winter Olympics, she will enter Stanford University, a famous American Ivy League university. I set up and operate this channel alone, hoping to share the real China with the world as well as clarify misconceptions and lies against China.  The continued development of China is the biggest game-changer in this century that affects all aspects of everyone’s lives. Embrace the change and seize the opportunity. Creating original content is hard work, your support is what keeps me going.
