It is hard to set boundaries, to say no or to draw that personal line in the sand where you say "that is enough, thank you" or know when to let people in and how to keep people from crowding your space. It is also hard to let the boundaries down and ask for help when you need it. Even harder, when someone offers that help, how do you let your guard down and accept it. It is a lot to talk about because it is a lot to take.

It is hard to deal with difficult people, hard stop. When you are chronically ill feels like the weight of that issue becomes ten times heavier. We are not sure if a person is difficult or if they are being difficult because of their "judgement" or feelings about how our illness impacts the social situations and other aspects of life around us.
