My new favorite podcast!!!
I discovered this through another new podcast that I discovered (“Revived Thoughts,” which plays and talks about sermons throughout church history) just recently as they ran an ad for this podcast. At first, I had a hard time finding it. But I am so glad that I did! It’s exactly the kind of church history podcast I’ve been looking for! So, there are a LOT of church history podcasts. I found one on the early church fathers in which I listened to most of it, but didn’t like that it was clearly pro Roman Catholic and didn’t really present a balanced view of the totality of the ECF. Granted, this was somewhat their intention, as they didn’t go into other beliefs at the time or that sort of thing, and it followed more or less the mainstream history of the Church. Also, I listened to one on the Crusades for a while, but it’s so in-depth that I got lost, had a hard time following, and lost interest. Either one of these have their place, to be sure, but what I like about this podcast is that she presents a balanced view of much of what she covers, doesn’t bog you down in a multitude of details, and also has a solid theology (grace, literal hermeneutic, pro Israel, etc). It’s honestly really hard to find podcasts that have this sort of undergirding. She’s also a great speaker and presenter and it’s definitely difficult to do this on history, so, I just have to say this is excellent and I’m very thankful for it. I’ve only been listening to this podcast for a few days and have been listening to as many episodes as possible and in so doing I’ve learned that Lorelee started this work for her kids (as she homeschools them) and so that also gives you a good idea of the kind of information you’ll find here and how user friendly it is, too. History can be dry and having a solid narration of it isn’t common or easy to find, so this would also be a good tool for ones kids, whether homeschooled or not. I don’t have kids (yet), but would definitely use this for them if I did have kids. Anyway, definitely give this a listen, y’all. The episodes are short and concise, easy to follow, gracious, balanced, and solid in their theology. Keep up the great work, Lorelee! Thank you for doing this! Blessings!

Both educational and entertaining. Lorelee does a great job of combining story telling with history.
