“I totally forgot where I came across the introduction of this podcast, it glad it popped back up on my feed. In the first episode, there was conversation about the ION, a new tech hub by Rice University, that is promising to be a resource in tech and entrepreneurship for ALL of Houston. There is concern for whether the ION will perform in becoming fully inclusive — and as a founder, creative, and a citizen that has emerged from incarceration; this is a real concern that I hope is confirmed and serves the communities that I am a part of. My art agency has done work in the ION and has been a part of conversations on the topics discussed in this podcast — so I know first hand that inclusion, access, and resources for all community members is top of mind. It seems that now the wheels are spinning, so we’ll see where and when the traction begins.
