Peoples Health Alliance - Katherine Macbean
Listen now
Description
The People’s Health Alliance is an organic people-led integrated health initiative creating heart centred health hubs at community level. Here Clara talks with the founder Katherine Macbean on how this initiative came to be and how quickly it is growing through the need to have health care provisions locally as the NHS is failing to meet the needs of the people. There is an urgent kindness here, reducing fear when alternative solutions are offered. Both allopathic practitioners and complementary therapists are invited to collaborate and weave their health care skills. First Aid and rapid response teams are being brought to the fore, for the people and led by people's needs. Since the official start date in April, there are near to 100 hubs in the UK with 15 countries showing interest. Each hip runs according to it's community and feedback to otters groups so at the national level we can each learn as we grow along. Katherine reveals a new collaboration with the farming industry has just happened as the People's Food and Farming Alliance (PFFA) and the education sector is also getting involved.  If you wish to, see more here: Web - www.the-pha.org  FB - The People’s Health Alliance U.K. https://www.facebook.com/groups/470135028119956  Tw - @TPHA_UK IG - @peopleshealthalliance    See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
