“Something happened to you to make you hate left handed ball players. Was it something Jimmy Watkins did? Did he show you up or something? Because the things you say about left-handed ball players are ridiculous at the youth level. Business about lefty shortstop being dangerous to their arms is absurd. It’s no more dangerous than a righty second baseman going to third-base. No doubt the extra fraction of a second it takes lefty short stop to make an extra degree of turn to through to first won’t work in high levels of baseball, but for 10-year-olds it’s a different story. You sound like a typical example of arrogance in coaching. Look in the mirror and examine your own biases. A 10-year-old lefty has a ton to learn and benefit by playing the middle infield. Except to you it shouldn’t be done because it is “dangerous“.”
