Coach’s Assist Nate Vogel

Samantha Quigley Smith was named SIUE women’s basketball head coach in April 2021.

Smith is the sixth head coach in program history and the third at the Division I level. She came to Edwardsville after serving four years in the same position at Lewis University, a Division II institution in Romeoville, Illinois, where she amassed a record of 83-34 (.709 winning percentage). She was honored as the 2020-21 Great Lakes Valley Coach of the Year.

Anna Nimz just completed her 2nd season as head wbb coach at NCAA D1 Northwestern St. Nimz, a former associate head coach at UT Rio Grande Valley, was named the 10th full-time head coach in program history on April 11, 2020.

Wideman joins Rogers' A-State staff after spending the last four seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at San Jose State (2018-22). For the Spartans, she primarily coached the team's point guards and was responsible for opponent scouting. Off the court, she led the daily operations of the program's community outreach.

Former Washburn women's basketball student-athlete Lora Westling has returned to her alma mater and will begin her first season as head coach in 2022-23.

Luke Scheidecker finished his fourth year as head coach at Wabash Valley College, and fifth year overall, at the conclusion of the 2021-22 campaign. Scheidecker, a 15-time Coach of the Year honoree, owns an overall record of 140-14 (91%) and has won a conference and region championship during all five of his seasons as a head coach while making four appearances in NJCAA National Tournaments.

Price was named the 16th head women's basketball coach at Tusculum on May 6, 2020 after serving as assistant women's basketball coach at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee for two seasons. Price has prior head coaching experience, having compiled a 38-16 record in two years at Hiwassee College, and was an assistant coach for five years at Truett-McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia.
