I have been using Duolingo to learn German for a year now, and I’ve enjoyed it. The one issue is they are very sparse with explanation. This podcast has filled the holes and brought my learning up to blazing speed, and allows me the facility to start creating my own sentences. They get into the...Read full review »

Post-pandemic, I don’t want to do anything all online. So, I am taking an in-person German class, but I use this podcast as supplemental listening and practice when I am driving in my car. I am satisfied so far and am looking forward to all the seasons.

I’ve been listening to this podcast for over a year now. I keep coming back to it. It’s the best I’ve found for learning I love Mark’s Scottish a cent and Thomas’s southern German accent. Julia’s cultural insights are really helpful too 👌🏻

I was a big fan of friendly Mark in the German and French series already. Moved to Berlin a month ago and this has helped me immeasurably - I combine it with Duolingo for hard vocab drills. It’s so helpful being asked to create sentences on the spot, like if you’re in a conversation, and great...Read full review »

Hello. I would like to thank yo for creating such an amazing course for the language learners. I am still learning the language, but this course helped me a lot in the process of getting into the language and grabbing its key aspects. This course is making my self study much more enjoyable.

This show is a very helpful material to learn German! Definitely worth a five or even a six star! However, it would be much better if the music in the middle can be lower. I have to turn the volume down whenever it comes to the music 😢

Not only a great podcast, but also a good way to learn a language. I find the concept pretty cool and the way it is executed. The key words as well as grammar are used during the conversation. For sure a very good content. I really like the listen-and-repeat format, but it just doesn’t make sense for most people to learn German from a Bavarian speaker. This dialect is so different from standard German that it is sometimes considered a separate language. Unless you plan on moving to Bavaria, I would avoid this podcast.
