This podcast tells the story of Susan Powell in such a thoughtful and detailed way. The research and interviews are put together in a way that really honors her memory and challenges violence against women in general.

Very well done. You can tell Dave thoroughly researched everything. Heartbreaking story though.

This was great. News on stories like this never even scratch the surface on what’s happening. Just SO SAD THAT THE SYSTEM TOTALLY FAILED THOSE SWEET BOYS. shame on the prosecutor that didn’t arrest Josh the same day they arrested Steve. So sad they allowed Josh access to those boys after they...Read full review »

It’s for the most part good, but too often he spends 5-10 minutes on things that go nowhere. Like clues that turn up nothing and do very little to further the story. It became a little annoying. Also, he also does this little laugh thing while talking that is a bit inappropriate, if not just...Read full review »

Having known a decent amount of info about this case( love true crime and cold cases),this podcast is nothing short of deeply in-depth! I loved the voices used... even creepy Steve! They somehow became eerily familiar as I continued to listen. Such a tragic sequence of events told quite...Read full review »

I’m new to podcast but this one was so real!!!!! It made me mad , sad, happy , all of these emotions from my feeling and thoughts from what was going on. I could not wait for each episode!! The details in the storytelling allow the listener to get into the moment. It may seem long to some who just want a good story. I like the in depth details. I am binging this as I don’t want to miss anything!

This is hands down one of the best best podcasts I’ve ever listened too, and I’ve listened to a lot! In my opinion what also makes a podcast a great listen and wanting more is the narrator. I’ve started to listen and then instantly stopped listening to podcasts simply because of the narrator(s)....Read full review »

This podcast is everything- fascinating, horrifying, spellbinding, touching, and at times gruesome. I thought it also did an excellent job of remaining unbiased (or as unbiased as one can be in this case) and presenting facts and information, not hypothesis. I recommend it to everyone I know!

This podcast has so much more detail than was ever made available via newscasts. Most people who were adults at the time Susan Powell disappeared - if they kept up with national news - could not have missed being aware of her story. I was late listening to this one because I believed I knew the...Read full review »

Such a horrific story. Absolutely heartbreaking. It’s tough to know no resolution ever came. No body ever found. It’s so crazy that it’s hard to even believe it’s real. I can only imagine how taxing it was to create, let alone follow.

Amazingly narrated and chilling that they were never able to find Susan Powell.

Every speaker in this podcast has incredible delivery, enough to send chills down your spine. One of the most well researched, entertaining podcasts I’ve ever listened to. Dave should be proud of himself. :)

Loved this Podcast. I didn’t know the details of Susan’s disappearance but did remember how I thought Josh's camping story was a farce. Was very interesting to get so many of the details. Hoping this podcast helps others to get out of toxic relationshipsRead full review »

This podcast is probably my favourite one to date! I’ve gotten so lost in case I wouldn’t have even know about before, sitting in my small town in England, so I owe it a lot. I’m enjoying it and the story is very interesting and Dave is a great narrator, but there’s no reason for it being 20 hours of content. Too much fluff and repetition. At this point I’ve mostly lost interest and doubt I’ll finish. I could see how this could have been 5 stars if it was half as long

DanaSydney via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/09/20
Although the content and story within this podcast is heartbreaking, the reporting and storytelling is best in class. I love that the closing statements are meaningful and relevant - how to help someone in, or to help yourself, in a domestic abuse situation.
guacfan1 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/09/20
Not only that the host is a great story teller but you can feel how invested he is in this case. This is one of the cases that is very intriguing and so twisted in many ways. Thanks for sharing your findings with us.

But I have listened to the first two episodes in full, and I feel that this podcast is.. well.. bloated. It felt very much like Tolkien meandering through the wilderness. I heard the preview to this podcast, and I remembered the story from a tv reenactment I’d watched at some point. I wonder if josh could have had the rental car towed for any amount of distance to fudge miles. And being in the Tremonton area is very suspect. Maybe his brother Michael met him there somewhere? When will it come out! It’s too good! I find myself pondering on Susans life and wondering how one can tell the signs of a domestic abuser and abused individual. This is a must listen. That’s why we need season 2 to come out.
