Love the Cold podcasts and the great work Dave does looking into these cases. Have to say though I’m disappointed Season 2 is only available on Wondery+. Already have many other streaming service costs, (Apple, Prime etc etc). It’s a shame that I won’t be able to listen to Season 2. Not able to...Read full review »

I've listened to all 3 seasons. This review is specific to season 3. Agree 100% with Jim Clemente's assessment - Cary Hartmann is the perp in Sheree Warren's disappearance. His gaslighting and controlling the conversation from the very beginning, as well as his needing to think about...Read full review »

Really good job at sharing this story

One of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. The research is impeccable and complete. The pacing is perfect. The stories are woven together with finesse. Dave Cawley’s presentation is calm, centered, and professional. His voice is easy to listen to. Love all the detail and use of real voices...Read full review »

Interesting and thorough. Seems as though information could be presented in about half the time.

This is a perfect example of how to make a true crime podcast. Extensively researched, very empathetically presented and well structured. I really admire David's professionalism and empathy when speaking to friends and family of Susan. I can tell that a lot of work went into making this podcast.Read full review »

The best true crime podcast I’ve listened to. And I’ve listened to them all.

Great work such an eye opener. There some weird people out there.

The first 2 seasons were amazing, not sure what happened to season 3. It felt drawn out and very repetitive. I swore if I heard the percent sign analogy one more time I was going to lose it. I’m not sure what happened in post production but it felt as though the last 6 episodes were only made...Read full review »

I just discovered COLD during season 3, but was able to download season 2 on Amazon (I have no interest in season 1…I remember it too well). Anyway, I find the Sheree Warren case tragic and fascinating, and I’m so glad KSL Is brining new light to the case. One thing I seemed to have missed: Cary...Read full review »

I haven’t been so hooked on a podcast in a long time. Just finished a long road trip and binged season 1 and 3. Can’t wait to listen to episode 2. I switched to listening on Amazon music since prime members listen ad free.

I appreciate David’s commitment to primary source material and the experiences of the women in Josh Powell’s orbit. I’m listening to the seasons in reverse and am finally on season 1 now. I just needed to share how creepy it is that when JP is talking about women he is infatuated/obsessed with,...Read full review »

I love true crime pods, and not the chatty friends kind, but true journalism. This story is just boring, at least in the way it is presented.

I thought I knew almost everything about this case. I was wrong. Very wrong.

This one started out great, very intriguing with the phone calls… then I found it to be very drawn out and boring with so many people involved .. I kind of got lost..

I have listened to Season 1 of Cold probably at least 10 times all the way through. It’s definitely one of the most informative podcasts I’ve ever heard. I often thought throughout the episodes that Dave Crowley must eat, sleep & breathe his stories in order to deliver the kind of details he...Read full review »

Love loved this! I listened while on a cross country road trip. Fascinating interviews from family. What a tragic story but I thought I knew it all till I heard this.

Don’t skip season 1 of this podcast. I’m in the middle of listening and I’m pretty gripped. I’m a fan diving deep into information, but it feels icky to use true crime as a form of ‘entertainment.’ The depth of journalism and research makes me feel better about listening— it’s one case per...Read full review »

Seasons 1 and 2 were alright, but season 3 is ROUGH. Redundant and exhaustingly detailed (who cares that your rental car was a Honda crossover?!)… could have covered the same content in less than half the time. Wish I’d never started.
sarahtuch via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/19/23
First season was really great. Picked back up for third season, and it feels like a LOT of padding and adding in unnecessary details about tertiary characters to increase run time. And this is entirely petty but if the host describes the central landscape of the mystery one more time as a percent...Read full review »

One of the best true crime podcasts I’ve heard in a while.
macbarti via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/18/23
Great content but the host always takes such deep audible breaths and it makes it a little distracting. Also, very leading. The host doesn’t make it secret what he thinks. Makes it hard to determine how honest or true the stories are.
TamalamaDingDong via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/17/23
Great podcast but I wish the host didn’t take huge loud inhales every time he starts a sentence.

Sad
All these poor people. It makes me so sad. I hope your and other podcasts like this somehow help them to be found. It's just awful so many people lose their lives in these horrific ways. I like the way you tell the stories but afterwards I have to balance out each episode by listening to...Read full review »

These are such interesting cases but the bias is the host is apparent which makes you wonder how much of the story is spin.

Meh
Season 1 was great but the third season is so scattered and hard to follow. I can’t keep up with who is who and where we are in the story.
mclev321 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/11/23
Narrator makes it difficult to follow who is who. I love true crimes and getting hooked on them and was disappointed that I couldn’t get into this one.

Seasons 2 and 3 are so repetitive and drawn out! The story is interesting but word economy people!
Gopherpharm via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/06/23

Beginning Ep. 15 of the Powell series. It’s certainly well done, no doubt. Lingering question: how in TF were the boys allowed to visit that monster at his home? How? This episode is so freaky. That chick going into that Freddy Kruger boiler room. Next level fear unleashed! I Love your podcast, you are fantastic Investigative journalist.

This podcast had the potential to be one of the best ever but it has completely gone off the rails. It feels like it should have been over three episodes ago.
