not interested in the foreigners experiences. Not enough on native born white. New Zealanders. Disappointing.

This podcast is well researched and expertly told. The character of Christchurch is sketched expertly in the stories of heroism and bravery of people trying to save those trapped. The stories about the failure of authorities to protect people by allowing this building to be build and remain...Read full review »

Great podcast that dives deep in the details of the CTV tragedy. As an engineer in Christchurch who was studying at uni during the earthquakes I had heard a bit about CTV but not the details. Really shocking that justice was not able to be brought to the families and how there were so many...Read full review »

I never knew all the details of the story despite remembering the event in Christchurch a decade ago. Sad regardless, but knowing negligence may have played a part makes it more harrowing. This was an insightful podcast delving into the collapse of the CTV building in Christchurch after an earthquake in 2011. It was interesting to hear from various people - rescuers, survivors and the families and friends of those who died. We also hear about why the building collapsed.

This podcast was captivating. It took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. The journalism is top quality. I felt like I could see, smell and hear what it was like to be at the scene of the devastating earthquake.

This is one of the most moving, thoughtfully compiled, balanced and researched podcast Ive had the pleasure of listening to. I hope the lessons we take forward from the tragedy contribute, in a small way, to the peace the victims families so desperately deserve. Rest peacefully to the 115 lost.

Great production! Lessons learned.... Someone should have went to jail. Indeed culpable negligence, many times over from day of build onwards. Council inspectors most liable in my view.

This is a truly excellent piece of work which should be shared around the world. They took such immense care with those involved, such effort to tell a complete story and constructed their work in such a way that even complex engineering concepts were easy to understand.

This is a shocking story which fits the mould of a classical Greek tragedy, although sadly all the hubris isn’t quite balanced out by adequate nemesis. It would be nice to look forward to a sequel that describes the comeuppances we seem to lack in the modern world, but I’m not holding my breath.
