Helps Work & Actual Writing (Actually) [but really, that’s what I do]
I work in the theme park industry. No. Not that company … no not that company either… but, the 5th biggest theme park company according to my best guess. When I hear the guest’s or Conan processes/experiences it makes me feel like I am a part of the “gang” when I am typing away something that guests will see {and maybe watch?} in passing while they ride rides, drink giant shakes, ride roller coasters, and get sick from all that dairy in that giant shake. While I may not be writing for SNL or a second example of something big, it encourages me to really keep working the craft (is saying “the craft” pretentious? It is) and make as many people as happy with shows & midway bits. It’s awesome. It helps me and now recently all my staff when we are down, in a rut, or looking for a change of pace during the day. Thanks and I look forward to some robot reading this 5-6 months from now. Unrelated, I still have a VHS that Conan O’Brien did for NBC years ago where you sat in front of a green screen. It was truly, actually, one of the funniest things I can remember as a kid because I was like “oh you can undercut yourself or what you work for and kill” and the line was “and make sure to buy 10,000 worth of useless crap at the NBC store”
