I’m picky and I like it
I’m spend a lot of time listening to podcasts and I’m a bit picky; audio quality, vocal style, personality of the host, etc. all have to be good for me to subscribe. I like this podcast because: -the hosts have personalities that I enjoy being around. None of them speak with vocal ticks such as a vocal fry, up-speak (aka a California girl accent), or have loud outbursts that make the listener have to quickly turn down the volume. -the hosts don’t wade much into politics or adhere to conspiracy theories that color their entire approach to the content of their show. My politics are somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, and I’ve unsubscribed to a few paranormal/fringe podcasts because those hosts bring up far-right ideology and peddle irresponsible ideas like anti-vax, pizzagate, etc. -the variety of guests is very good. I even listen to episodes that don’t quite grab my curiosity at first, because the hosts manage to make all episodes compelling.

The episode with RPJ discussing “American Cosmic” really added to my understanding of an already fascinating book. ...Read full review »

What I love about this podcast is that it is clear that Adam does his homework. He asks knowledgeable, probing questions. He also chooses his guests wisely. Definitely a cut above the average podcast.
