To commemorate 70 years of India's Constitution, the Delhi government has launched a three-month-long ‘Constitution Campaign’ in all its schools, with a focus on ‘Liberty, Equality and Fraternity’.

This campaign is a unique approach to educate students about the values enshrined in the Preamble to the Constitution of India — not just as a theoretical but as a practical concept.

The campaign will continue for a period of three months focusing on three values of the Preamble Liberty in the month of August 2019, Equality in the month of October, 2019 and Fraternity in the month of November, 2019.

The Preamble declares that fraternity has to assure two things the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the nation.

It includes equality before law, prohibition of discrimination on grounds of race, religion, gender, and caste or birth place. It also includes equality of opportunity in matters of employment, abolition of untouchability and titles. In simple words we can say it is the right to live with equal opportunities.
