An important part of that preparation is his analysis and synthesis of the interviewee, which often takes the form of a penetrating counter-argument. You can almost see the oxygen leaving the room when that happens. The choice of his guests is eclectic. Be patient and you will be rewarded. My sense is that corporate types don’t do very well and I have seen very few lately.
