The world added more than 1 million cases of COVID-19 in 5 days, from July 6th-10th relays CNN. The global number of cases is 13, 127,006. The Director General of the WHO said there would be “no return to the old normal for the foreseeable future”. California shuts down indoor dining, movie theaters and bars. Oregon mandates masks and limits gatherings of more than 10. LA, San Diego and Atlanta keep school online for the start of the fall semester. Hawaii will continue a 2-week mandatory quarantine for visitors through September 1st. The Chicago marathon in October, has been cancelled as the U.S. reports 61,492 cases Monday. Bihar, in northern India, will institute a 2-week lockdown starting Thursday. It will affect about 125 million residents, reports The Guardian. Bangalore began a week long lockdown today, for its 13 million residents. Face masks will be mandatory in stores in the UK starting on July 24th. France will also mandate masks in enclosed public spaces in the next few weeks. The French Government has set aside nearly 9 billion dollars to give health care workers a raise.
