“I’ve been listening to Ben (and his team) for the last three years and love what he brings to Cougar Sports. Some specifics: (1) he brings an “edge” that you don’t get from most BYU sports shows, (2) it’s obvious that he has great connections and consistently brings in amazing co-hosts and outside interviews (he even seems to build bridges with anti-BYU folk and players/coaches that left Brigham), (3) he isn’t afraid to take on controversial topics and hold what may be considered unpopular opinions among many Cougar faithful (e.g., opposition to Honor Code practices), (4) he’s a trendsetter (you know someone listens to Ben when they use the word “pontificate” or talk about the pie chart of accountability and transparency!). My one piece of critical feedback is the overall sound volume of the podcast seems quieter than most, cmon I’m only 33 years old and need to listen while mowing the lawn!”
