Very engaging and informative podcast

Love the podcast but wow, Nancy is a SLOW talker. Hard to disregard once you realize just how careful she enunciates e-v-e-r-y word.

So distracting with weird music in the background

Such a good podcast absolutely ruined for me by extremely loud background music! I decided to stop following

This is the best true crime podcast I have listened to and I have listened to many. Nancy is a very good story teller/ investigative reporter. Nancy focuses on the victim to be sure we know who they are and how much they meant to their family and friends. Well done.

Are distracting and annoying

Nancy just finds a way - EVERY EPISODE - to interject herself into the story. The episodes used to be fulsome and well-researched but they are now skimming the surface and very short with little context. Except how Nancy fits in… that, I assure you, is covered… slowly.

Love this podcast! Articulate, empathetic, presents all the facts with compassion in a calm manner. One of the best crime podcasts I’ve listened to.

If you looking for a great podcast about crime- this one is for you. Nancy has a great voice and tells stories in a way I like it. I quickly became addicted to her pod 🙂

This podcast is so well written and researched. I can tell Nancy Hixt really cares about the people who are affected by these crimes. The only reason I can’t give five stars is Nancy’s delivery style. She sounds like she’s talking to a three year old. Slow and almost patronizing. It can be quite...Read full review »

A good crime podcast, but after a couple of seasons the content becomes thin. The platform still gets used to tell important stories, but occasionally slips into patting the host on the back a little too much. The worst aspect, though, are the ads, they are overly loud, obnoxiously placed, and...Read full review »

Each episode has been meticulously written and produced. All questions that are possible have been addressed. Really enjoy the legal and police input.

The new episodes are boring, and lack the depth of the earlier seasons. Maybe you can move into other cases in Alberta/Canada that you didn’t cover, but can still do a podcast of. Kinda like dateline. Used to love listening but not too much anymore.

Really enjoy this podcast but way too many commercials, and the same ones over and over.
Sizzle9999999 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 08/09/23
I like this podcast. I don’t like the constant, repetitive, surprisingly stupid choice of ads. Mixing a crime podcast featuring serious conversations about stuff like murders with cheerfully annoying ads for chicken McNuggets doesn’t work. It’s really, really dumb. And no, I won’t ever buy...Read full review »

I never get tired of listening to these! Nancy Hixt makes all the stories interesting and makes you feel like you were actually there. She does a great job of keeping the story respectful even being so detailed. My favorite.

There several excellent true crime and crime based pods out there. But once you’ve finished the best ones, you’re stuck looking for one that is well written and where the narrator isnt annoying. Try this one - it is excellent.

I really loved this podcast for the first few seasons, in fact it was one of my favourites and I listened to the episodes multiple times. I was friends with Lukas in high school and I thought the episode about him and his murder was so well done and did the story complete justice. However, as it...Read full review »

I find myself avoiding this podcast when it would come up, and I’ve decided to finally just unfollow it. Way too much making it about herself. The stories should be about the victims or about the story — not how she was the one that was there, or the first to report, or how much of a fan the...Read full review »

After listening to the most recent episode, I feel very sorry for Canadian citizens. You should never, EVER, be arrested and charged for defending yourself in your own home. Nancy is such an amazing woman. Her dedication to the victims and their stories in her podcasts and TV shows is remarkable. She gives so many a voice, a voice that would go unheard without her. Why bother? No new episodes just a front to talk about herself. How could Global put their name on this amateur trash? See Nancy the narcissist try to make a podcast. Enjoyed some of the early season episodes but I had to stop listening as just feels too tabloidy and overly dramatized for 2023. Nancy is obviously great at what she does but the format of the show is about 20-30 years out of date. True crime story telling has evolved since then. Agree about...Read full review »

Nancy’s research and presentation is superb! Im not familiar with a lot of these cases, I’m not Canadian, so many of these cases I’ve never heard of, which makes them even more interesting. I appreciate Nancy’s empathy and her tact in leaving out a lot of horrific details.
