I’ve listened to thousands of crime pods and this one is just phenomenal! Thank you so much for the work you do. Nancy, you are incredibly compassionate, professional, considerate & brilliant. I can’t wait for your next season. ❤️❤️

I like the podcast. Don’t love you just took the podcast. Turned it into a tv. With absolutely no new material. This podcast hasn’t been updated with a decent show. In a good year. I think her podcasting days r done. I’ll be deleting the show. As she doesn’t update with new episodes.

Great podcast. Happened upon it by accident but the format and the story telling is very well done.

Would be better if you do not let the subject person speak as much while the story is being told.

I find crime very interesting and easy to follow. The host , Nancy Hixt, speaks slowly and concisely. I have been thoroughly enjoying this podcast. Theresa Heuchert

Ms Hixt I thoroughly enjoy your podcast and TV show. You are an amazing storyteller. You are very professional and well spoken. And I find your podcast episodes so very interesting. I believe yours is the best Canadian true crime and should be up there internationally as well.

This was good when cases were covered and not laced with Social Justice messages and non-cases, or boring cases with a wimpy narrative. Stopped listening and following.

Good stories and interviews but the background music is cringeworthy

I love crime beat ! I have listen to all of them, Nancy is so easy to listen to and without a doubt she is a very caring person… my all time fav podcast
Blondy1969 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 03/12/22
This podcast feels like the overwrought late-90s tabloid/news-panic version of true crime podcasting. It lacks the human angle that has made true crime such a popular topic. It doesn’t understand the difference between tv new segments and longer-form storytelling. It’s overly self-congratulatory...Read full review »

This podcast is so well done! It’s full of captivating interviews with those involved with the cases at the time; the victims, witnesses, jurors, cops, & reporter Nancy Hixt, herself. Being from the States, I hadn’t heard of most of the cases covered & it’s both fascinating &...Read full review »

I could listen to Nancy talk all day long. Her voice envelopes you with her caring passion, so clear and easy to understand. She doesn’t speculate but gets her information first hand by speaking directly to the ones involved, following up on Canadian cases that you may have heard and have...Read full review »

I appreciate how Nancy focuses the humanity of the victims and gives us continuity on stories we hear snippets of over years! This is the perfect crime documentary for my commute and I especially appreciate the background context she provides to validate the story. True credibility in journalism.

This was the first time I had listened to a podcast and I was hooked. I have become a True Crime Podcast junkie. If all podcasts were put together as well as Nancy does her podcasts I would never get anything done. This is my new favorite true crime podcast. Episode 1 in season 1 is really disturbing though. I wouldn’t recommend it because of the sheer awfulness of what happened. However, the rest of the episodes are super interesting and not as disturbing.

I have been listening to Crime Beat for a few years and have always liked Nancy’s careful treatment of the cases. The newest season is too much for this hardened true crime buff to handle.
