Listen now
Description
In 1989, Allan Legere was serving a life sentence for the murder of an elderly shopkeeper in a rural part of New Brunswick, Canada. Until he escaped. For seven months, he evaded capture, living in the woods around the Miramichi river, only coming out at night to steal food, rob houses, and murder the community’s most vulnerable citizens. More than 30 years later, people still remember the fear and panic that gripped a community, caused by one man - the Monster of the Miramichi.  Sources for this episode cannot be listed here due to character limitations.
