It never fails to boggle my mind that a Pulitzer Prize winner thinks that the past tense of drag is “drug”. It’s dragged. Americans are so stupid.

I found this podcast recently and love it! The presenter asks great questions and has a nice voice. The guests are really interesting and not only give good overviews of their respective stories but extra insight too. It’s been good to hear again from the presenters of podcasts I’ve listened to...Read full review »

Kathleen is such a great host! I’m always excited to listen to a new episode! Ive found that it’s also a great way to find other podcasts. Sometimes I’ll stop the episode after the intro and find the podcast they are discussing, then come back to her episode.

Would you PLEASE stop saying “like” every few seconds. It’s so inane. You can do better than this.

I find this podcast very confusing - it assumes you know the background on a story and jumps right into a specific aspect of the story. I also don’t see the link between some of the topics and the “true crime” genre - thinking specifically of the episode about The Staircase and documentary film...Read full review »

Talking to the storytellers about their project really works. I am usually interested in the crimes being reviewed, but if I don’t know them, I now trust the professionalism and consistency of each episode’s production, and listen to them all.

Fascinating insight into the work of investigative journalists covering high profile crimes. Brings a new dimension to the crimes themselves and the ethical challenges of reporting.

The episode on Bone Valley and the interview with Gilbert King is excellent. Thanks!

As a writer/journalist, it is fascinating to hear these stories from the very human perspective of those struggling to do them justice, wrestling with the multiple pros and cons of the telling and potential impacts, intended and unintended. Goldhar’s approach and tone works so well in drawing the...Read full review »

I have already binged the first two episodes. Love the concept and, of course, Goldhar’s unique voice as a storyteller. Never disappoints.

When I first came across this show I thought it was going to be satire. Sadly not.
