Their agenda is Criminal
I have been a subscriber of this podcast for a long time but am unsubscribing today. They’ve veered from unbiased, deep-probing to agenda-driven podcast. This isn’t the podcast it once was and that’s a shame. If I want my news fed to me with liberal doses of bias and agenda, I’ll watch mainstream media. Criminal has joined their leagues. Disappointing. Recently, Phoebe profiled a self-confessed and convicted bank robber who escaped from prison, feloniously forged a birth certificate and Social Security card, and bribed a DMV employee to get a fake drivers license. He created a new identity and lived freely for almost 40 years. The show seemed to glorify this criminal and give him a free pass because he was a “good father and good husband.” The “rehabilitated” convict laughed and did not voice remorse, but they still glorified him in the episode. I see nothing charming, funny, or worthy of glorification in this story. And this is not the only story I have heard on CRIMINAL depicting criminals as martyrs or heroes. Am I wrong for not admiring or rallying behind this man, a liar and thief who committed multiple crimes but got a free pass because he went on to be a good father and husband? Shouldn’t he have been a good father and husband regardless? And does that minimum standard really exonerate one from crimes committed? I don’t think so. The anti-police rhetoric is as annoying as Phoebe’s breathy enunciation.

I was magnated by the vary first sound of the narrative tone. Very inviting and attractive. The plot is fine. Like luring a fish gradually and slowly from deep water.

I'm hooked! The stories are interesting and the episodes are short and to the point. I'm now scared to log into my dating profile. I'll definitely be more cautious of people on the internet. -Notorious BeepRead full review »
