I listened to three Dice and Dialogue episodes about Monster of the Week; while the 4 hosts are clearly experienced and have good ideas, they’re hard to listen to. Alex and Brandon were thoughtful; but Ian interrupted a lot-- often to make juvenile or inside jokes -- and was hard to understand...Read full review »

The topics and advice the three hosts cover are great, and they have introduced me to a lot of third-party content that I have loved. The hosts themselves seem to have a lot of unresolved animosity between them. Justin and Ian in particular are snarky to each other and bicker frequently on the...Read full review »

I like the show a lot. But one of the guys talks so fast I can’t understand him.

With a lack of podcasts that explore its systems and lore rather then play it, I was very excited to give a listen. Found a couple episodes that seemed this would be a perfect fit, even something I could recommend to new players of mine to better understand their characters or listen to an...Read full review »

I’m both a DM and a player and they cover some interesting things that help improve both my DMing and how I play my character. Give it a listen!

I literally started listening to this on a whim. I love the Dungeon Dudes and saw that they were on the show. I was fully engaged and amused the whole time and didn’t even realize that I had been listening for 80 minutes! I will be listening to more.

Honestly, what can I say? You guys have a serious amount of good ideas that constantly inspire me to create a new character or try a battle tactic or be more descriptive without taking it over the top. I enjoy what I have listened to and it is great that I have so much more to go through.

I have never played Dungeons & Dragons but thanks to you guys I know more about it than my friend of almost 20 years and he’s in a DnD group as a fire genasi monk who was booted out of his temple for being to silly. I love the Tabaxi and that would be my race. Are there any races that...Read full review »

Truly, this podcast has been one of the greatest helps to my campaigns out of any digital media. Awesome podcast to listen to if you enjoy tabletop role playing games in general. Focus mainly on 5E but can adapt things to other editions. They have awesome ideas and various new monsters that keep veteran players on their toes and not know exactly what to expect from similar monsters.

Crit Academy was the first of the trinity of Crit Academy, D&D Character Lab, and Inter-Party Conflict podcasts. I love all three and enjoy the knowledge, advice, and fun that each has to offer. I have never played a single game of DnD. Not one...... One day I am hoping to find a group and travel worlds with dragons and magic and swords with weird names, but to get there I need knowledge. I would give them a 10 stars but they only put 5 up. I have been playing D&D since 1977, I've had a adventure rattling in my head and though listening to them it sparked some idea's and thew them in. Now i'm ready to DM for the first time.Read full review »

Nice to listen to. Hosts are usually overenthusiastic about everything, making me imagine listening to a puppy‘s thoughts if it was able to comprehend D&D. Great ideas for random encounters, items and story hooks overall. Would recommend.

Podcast started out great in the early days. As time went on, some of the hosts began to incorporate these strange (read: bad) “accents” when reading class descriptions/features. I like that y’all covered the xanathar subclasses first but the barbarian episode is hard to listen to. Suggestions: the first 15 minutes can be put in the middle of the episode or at the end.
