I too voted to remain in the EEC in the 1975 EEC referendum, foolishly believing the propaganda of the pro-EEC politicians of the time - who assured everyone that it was going to be purely a trade agreement and that there would be no loss of sovereignty, etc. At that time Tony Benn was also demonised by pro-EEC politicians and others for expressing his anti-EEC views.
It is interesting to hear about the EU/EC/ECJ's involvement in bringing forward the timescale of the recent state pension changes.
