Restorative political commentary
This provides me with a weekly restorative dose of cogent political analysis given by two people of differing political views - a rarity in the highly polarised state of British politics and commentary. Both protagonists are highly intelligent, well informed and passionate in their political positions (not least on Brexit), but have the grace and warmth of friendship to disagree with each other without rancour and often with humour and much laughter. Iain and Jacqui are on paper an unlikely pairing as one is a staunch shires Tory and the other an unapologetic Blairite, yet it does and for a voter in the seemingly dwindling (or ignored) centre ground who agrees and disagrees with each of them on a weekly basis it gives me hope that politics and political commentary could one day be equally sparky and smart.
