Generally - Thumbs up
I enjoyed the first couple episodes, especially hearing the details from the leading detective on Annie’s case in episode 2. I also did not know about the deck of cards with missing and murdered people - pretty interesting/brilliant. I do like that we learned a bit about each host in the first episode and Phelps opened up about his past. My only suggestion is that at times the banter between “Phelps” and “Everett” seems too scripted. I hope going forward it can be a little more off the cuff. Also, these two seem like they have history not just a working relationship but a sort of friendship too. I think it would feel more personal/real/relatable if they called each other Christina and Michael (or what friends/family call them) instead of by their last names. Feels a bit disingenuous. Besides these two points, I still think the first couple episodes deserve a 5 star rating.

Update: I’m giving stars back. Thanks for introducing your producer in each episode when she speaks instead of her appearing as a random voice. I hope it’s a trend that will continue. I’d still like to see her name in the show notes as a contributor of comments. It always pays to acknowledge...Read full review »
