“I just finished the one with Bono and marvelled at having a near-direct line into his experience and wisdom.
The Importance of Humility: discarding our egos at the door to sit at the table with otherwise disparate personalities in the interest of winning for the benefit of millions who no longer need to die.
Listening to John Winston Lennon’s Words: ‘from under the bed’ and how the world is truly more malleable than you think...and not to discount the mighty heft of humour.
And the utmost importance of musicians and artists putting voice and expression to the way the world both is— and needs to be. Truth telling. Because “we can’t allow corporations to be the ones telling the narratives.” To have the weight & meaning of art and artists clarified like that — for me was everything.
ps: I can only imagine the expression on the face of a musician (Mr. AHB) receiving such high justified praise from Bono himself. The complex vacillation between pleasure and Irish mortification of praise must have been quite a sight to see!
Thanks; I can’t wait to listen soon to the one with Mavis. x”
