Cornelius from the University of California, San Diego, on Thursday, October 1, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the University of Chicago's downtown Gleacher Center. He will present "Toward a Smarter and More Just U.S. Immigration Policy: What Mexican Migrants Can Tell Us."The Pastora San Juan Cafferty Lecture on Race and Ethnicity in American Life was established in 2005 on the occasion of the retirement of Professor Pastora San Juan Cafferty from The University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. The Lecture is a forum for prominent social theorists, business executives, community leaders, philanthropists, and politicians to convene and discuss the issues critical to a well-functioning and secure society.
