Very easy to get hooked on these. I started listening to the episode with Swedish carving axe maker Julia Kalthoff & then was inspired to listen to the next in series - another great listen and so glad I found this podcast.

I started by lapping up every one of these fantastic interviews that related to woodwork, which is my passion. Now I’m just working through all of them, as the guests always have heaps of gems to learn from. They now feel like a very cool gang of people I’ve been enjoying spending time with… (and...Read full review »

So many wonderful things happen in this podcast. The range of people Amy and Brien interview is great, and while the starting questions are the same for everyone, the ensuing conversation goes in so many unique directions that I never know what will happen. Thanks for a consistently interesting...Read full review »

I appreciate that you allow artisans to share their stories. You listen without interruption so we can hear the possibilities. I will never be an artist at this level. I dip my hands in so many different areas to experience them. Episode 31 is my new favorite.

Smart, funny, thought provoking, and inspirational. The perspectives that the hosts and guests provide on their areas if expertise and creative processes are fascinating. But what keeps me listening are the truly inspiring life lessons about traditions, sense of equity/philanthropy, sacrifice,...Read full review »

Amy and Brian do an amazing job interviewing, but they go a step further—they clearly work hard to find guests from diverse crafts and backgrounds. Great topics, and great guests. I would like to listen to more episodes but I’m finding it hard to get past the giggling responses to most questions that are asked. Not every answer is that hilarious, or even funny for that matter. Tone down the giggles and I would be happy to listen to more...Read full review »

Thanks for a great show! Cut the Craft has been a warm addition to my podcast stable. Wonderful to hear interesting conversations from the broad field of handcrafts. For myself, as a full time maker, it’s nice to have some good company in the studio to help pass the time. Cheers!

Great show looking into the contemporary world of hand craft. It’s a sad world where craft is disappearing and giving way to more and more disposable objects in our lives. Luckily many young craft people are keeping hand craft alive in the world for our children and their children’s children.
