“Let me begin by saying, I love your podcast and have been listening to it for the past couple of years. However, in your most recent podcast, it seemed like the Nelson Vails interview was just doing lip service to your diversity quota. Right after the interview, there was no commenting on the information given in the interview. You guys just skipped to the next subject like the interview didn’t even happen. There are many people listening to the podcast who probably do not know who Nelson Vails is. He is a national icon and a great person who can help bridge cycling’s image of being a white man’s sport. He talked about some art work with Alex. I am a fan of Nelson Vails and do not know what art work he is talking about. I plan on doing an internet search, but you as journalists could have expanded on the interview. I am saying all of this as constructive criticism and letting you know how the podcast came off to my ears. We talk about diversity but we can’t just give it lip service. Earlier in the podcast you guys gave Tao Geoghegan Hart kudos for putting his money where his mouth is. I was hoping you guys would have done the same. I couldn’t imagine what a young black bicycle rider listening to this podcast would have felt. Off my soap box. Thank you for all of the amazing content you guys bring every week. Sincerely, Jaime Rojas”
