“The Dames celebrate the unconventional. And that’s one of the best things about this show.
The podcast begins with vignettes of sorts through different prewritten adventures, including one by DM Kat Kruger. But though you may have seen (or even played) one of these adventures before, you’ve never heard it like this.
Each of the Dames bring distinctive voices to the table, making their characters real and meaningful, if unconventional in their approach to adventure. Chet is a great example of this, and I get such joy as a listener from those moments. They don’t always solve the puzzle in the most straightforward way, but they always solve it in the most worthwhile way. The whole podcast is worthwhile with great emotional payoff towards the end of season 1.
I’m excited to get further in to season 2 to know what happens next!”
