At least seven people have been killed and dozens injured in protests in Pakistan ahead of a court hearing to charge the former prime minister on terrorism charges. Thousands of supporters of Imran Khan—who’s been in prison for more than a year—have rallied in Islamabad with his release topping a list of demands. But authorities have cracked down on demonstrators, banning public gatherings.
