“I was so chuffed when I found this podcast and listen regularly. The episodes are always very interesting and often cover topics which I have no idea about! The format provides enough detail while remaining understandable for non-experts like me. However, it does seem to be largely focussed on Modern History - a lot of the stuff I’m particularly interested in doesn’t come up very often. I loved the Shadow King episode on Henry VI - please can we have more Plantagenets?! The Wars of the Roses, Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine, the Hundred Years War - they’re such and interesting family! Also it would be great to have some episodes on the history of medicine which I came across at uni and haven’t really seen/heard anywhere since.
That being said this does provide a good opportunity to open my mind and find new areas of interest!”
