“Well…. I tried to give it a couple weeks without James before blasting the show. Truth is, it’s not the same for sure and never will be. For all new listeners, they’ll never notice the change. For everyone else, it’s obvious. Time to turn the page I guess and attempt to love the show all over again. You can feel the awkward tension in the room when Dave or Chuck wants to bounce the bit off James but they have to almost catch themselves and redirect. Jason is a great part of the show is his OWN way. but he is slowly trying to play the homoerotic roll of James and it’s making the show feel fake. I’ve been listening to this show for about 15 years, so maybe my opinion is bias as they almost feel like long distance family. This is not a “1 star bash the show to bring James back” review. It’s my complete honest opinion on the “new show”. I will continue to listen as it’s become my daily routine, reminiscing on the past like a sequel to a movie that just doesn’t stand up to the first.”
