Ep. 421 - Live Bonus Show - Carnival for Swanky People: MSC Cruise Lines v. Disney Cruise Lines with Seth Kubersky from the Unofficial Guides

Seth Kubersky from the Unofficial Guides, joins us on this week's live episode as we compare MSC Cruise Line to Disney Cruise Line. Seth is an avid themepark and cruising fan and we couldn't wait to get his take on MSC. We've heard mixed reactions to MSC and were excited to hear Seth's first-hand experience, having sailed MSC multiple times, including in MSC's Yacht Club. How did MSC compare to DCL (and other lines like Royal) across decor, activities, shows, food and service - come hear's Seth's review to find out whether MSC might be a cruise line you want to try. We're also chatting the latest DCL news on Lighthouse Point, the Haunted Mansion Parlor and Halloween on the High Seas.
You can find and follow Seth on Twitter or at his website. Seth is also an arts and culture columnist for the Orlando Weekly, co-author for the Unofficial Guides to Universal Orlando, Disneyland, Las Vegas and Disney World, and a writer and podcast co-host for Attractions Magazine. Seth also written two articles on his MSC cruise experiences if you'd like to learn more - they are available at Attractions magazine here and here.

Ep. 420 - Deep in the Heart of Texas: Dennis and His Family Cruise the Disney Magic from Galveston

Ep. 420 - Deep in the Heart of Texas: Dennis and His Family Cruise the Disney Magic from Galveston

Dennis joins us this week to share his family's experience sailing Disney Cruise Line on the Disney Magic out of Galveston to Mexico. We love covering Disney's port experiences outside of Port Canaveral, as these overlooked ports sometimes offer a really great option for those not on the East Coast, or looking for something a little bit more manageable than what Port Canaveral offers. Dennis also took some really interesting excursions to the Mayan Ruins and compared those excursions for us on the show. Dennis and his wife also sail with two teenage boys, and we wanted to hear how they think about staterooms, onboard activities, and whether DCL remains their preferred cruise line as a family. All that and more on this week's episode.

Dennis is also the host of Podcast Stardust - a Star Wars focused podcast that is definitely worth a listen. Find it wherever you like to listen to podcasts.

Great DCL pod

This is a great all around Disney vacation pod. They specialize in cruising but love Brian and Sam’s input into parks and other Disney resorts. Always have great guest and great content. Very entertaining and informative! Great listen with every episode!

Tin Foil Mouse Ears ,

A Michelin Star Podcast if there ever was one…

This Podcast is like Palo! First there’s Brian and Sam, their wonderful dynamic of love for travel and cruising experience is like a good antipasto of parm, prosciutto, and delightful breadsticks! That’s followed by the appetizer, whether you enjoy a good calamari or caprese you’ll see that Brian and Sam’s talent for lining up great guest and plan meaningful topics is second to none. But then there the main course! The DCLDuo has such a flair for making guest feel welcomed and asking great questions on top of planning episodes that help you design every trip like the perfect Osso Buco! Then there’s Sam’s Rapid Fire, the arbitrary questions, arbitrary rules, and a dash of judgment goes together like a soufflé at the end of every episode!

If you are planning a big trip for someone special or a large family the DCL Duo has the right four courses for you every week leading up to your trip!

Really is the best DCL Podcast

This podcast is the most thorough DCL centered podcast. The variety of topics will have nearly anything a listener could be searching for. Sam and Brian are fantastic hosts, you tell how much work they put into this to make it what it is. They are so engaging and easy to listen to. This is my favorite Disney Cruise Line podcast.
