Slow and somewhat boring, not sure why it won the award.

No other podcast or experience in my life has given me such a powerful feeling of solidarity with every other family on our planet. Love makes the world go round.

A most beautiful podcast, honest and relevant, will make you cry and laugh, smile in recognition and bow in admiration. At times heart-rending, always sincere and often eye-opening. Not only for mothers of daughters but for all of us humans.

Gosh! Where do I start. I’m a grandma a mother a sister etc brought up in the 60s in a small village, near a lovely City in England. Born into a fantastic and huge family with generations of hard working relatives from Lancashire. I’m white/ British. Ever letter I’ve listen to is full of life....Read full review »

There are just so many podcasts “out there” now, it can be hard to find the right ones that really connect to your heart and mind. This does both, in addition to connecting to the spirit. Such a simple yet clever way of sharing deep and funny insights with all of the daughters out there, and...Read full review »

Women being wise caring articulate and helpful. Where can I hear the ‘advice one liners’ like ‘watch the boy bands whilst they are still young and beautiful’ and ‘don’t bother planting small flowers’. Such good advice. But I don’t know where that came from. I want to collect 50 of them for my...Read full review »

Hi Namulanta. I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to this podcast - great work you’ve done with it! These stories spoke about the universal pressure and a tag of war that women endure. So much of identity is shaped from the point the midwife announces “it’s a girl!”. I related with so many of...Read full review »

This podcast is so beautifully delivered, the calm and soothing Nairobi accent adds perfectly to the humorous, puzzling and sometimes serious topics. Keep it going! I have shared with everyone I know.

I enjoyed learning of different cultures and different expectations for girls around the world. Above all the love we all share for our daughters (and sons) is what unifies us; that is the message in Dear Daughter. I hope there will be many more seasons.

I was truly blessed to stumble upon this podcast! As the mother of 2 daughters, I could relate to every letter. Mothers across the world have the same feelings as me. Praying there is a season 2, I haven’t wrote my letter yet😊

This podcast has me so emotional just on episode 1. I have a 4 year old and I’ve always been a writer and have always been the type of person who expresses themselves through writing letters or texts.. this really inspired me to start journaling again for my children ❤️

I’m a Kenyan-Canadian guy living in Toronto, Canada. Loved listening to Namulanta Kombo’s Dear Daughter podcasts. She’s very passionate about the subject and presents in a wonderful way. I’m sure this will benefit many mothers and daughters the world over. Wish there was a Dear Son version!

I find this podcast so relatable! Being from a woman is quite hard and it’s really easy to get swept up in to what everyone else expects from you without realizing what you want for yourself. It’s good to know that these challenges are cross cutting and that we are not alone.

What do we want or daughters to know or wish we knew growing up? What’s the important stuff? This podcast inspires us to ask these questions and many more, and perhaps bring more intention to our lives and the lives of our daughters.
