I loved this podcast. Very well put together.

While this series depicts disturbing events, the narrative is held carefully by Debi Marshall and it is superb retelling with a compassionate tone.

Thanks Debi for loading this fantastic and insightful podcast. I remember these crimes so well as I was 15 the same age as Richard Kelvin when he was abducted in 1983. Congratulations on uplifting the suppression order on some of the perpetrators of these heinous crimes. I really hope you ‘break...Read full review »

Super well researched and reported podcast. We can only hope that serious journalists with integrity continue to exist ❤️ In a climate that makes it more & more difficult for them to have the resources to do what they do.

I really appreciate your interview style; direct, transparent, quick and intuitive. Bravo! Great work by everyone!

Hugely emotional - it has taken too long for other people to be brought to justice for these cases. I hope that at least this podcast can bring people forward to do the right thing. Very well presented and had me hooked.

What is wrong with these sick f*#ks!!! What these poor innocent boys/men must have endured I just can’t fathom 😞 this so called Dr who supplied the drugs … could he be in on this… doing his “surgery” on the victims??? Why should their names be suppressed… why protect their name… how could...Read full review »

This show is a great underlying story stretched into so many episodes by filling each one with the Podcaster Debbie Marshall making it all about her. There are literally interviewers asking her how she got so great and you sit there begging for the actual story to return.

Wow, unbelievable story, well told, and I hope that you get some justice for the families and the people of south Australia

I have been waiting to hear this since I was a teenager living in Adelaide. A window into the murders of young men and boys in Adelaide by the so called ‘Family’ If you are interested in this case, you must listen to this podcast. Highly recommended

Great podcast Debi, very interesting and well presented. I knew nothing of these horrific and very disturbing events that have sadly affected so many people and to which those involved remain protected. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated story as there are countless others, a haunting and...Read full review »

I am so happy to have found this podcast. This story is a true Adelaide horror story, and it is so well told and humanised in this podcast. I met Debi in an airport a couple of years ago, and she was such an interesting and genuinely lovely and caring person, and I’m so glad I have found what...Read full review »

This horror story finally gets another turn, a great attempt to bring about justice. Very compelling and unforgettable. Devastating and hard to listen to all the terrible crimes committed, harder to hear from all the people left behind and still suffering. Thank you Debi Marshall for...Read full review »

Sensational! Deb is a she-ro and for those of us who don’t have Foxtel, this is a great case. How do we live in Australia and never heard about this?? Thoroughly researched with compelling interviews…many very difficult to hear from their content, binged it all in one hit and I’m shocked and...Read full review »

A hugely interesting and intriguing story. Deeply researched and professionally delivered. I hope there’s a future episode as justice hasn’t been done.

Brilliantly told story. Very interesting.
Father_newman via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/19/21
Starts well with interesting content and interviews but, as Deb said, she started out with the belief that David did it and it’s obvious she had a line to push and this is not an independent investigation. In fact it’s just one big Murdoch ad. Nasty tabloid ‘journalism’, low point the Turtur...Read full review »

Well researched and presented! Great work Deb, keep up the fight. I can’t believe I’ve never heard this story before. It’s hard to believe it could’ve happened in Australia & that these people have managed to get away with such awful acts for so long.

Absolutely brilliant interviews and so much more details to start conversations and questions of why...... so many unknown answers, thoughts are with the families.

Sitting in the sun in my garden in England listening to this podcast. I couldn’t go inside until I’d got through them all. It was such a gripping story. Very well put together, so professional but with good Heart. I only wish I could watch the tv show now! Well done on such a fantastic podcast.

I’m finding it extremely difficult to listen to this podcast. Debi has done such an amazing job with the work she has put into this. The interview with Lewis is absolutely heartbreaking, goosebumps all over.

Well done. Some very compelling, raw interviews here. The crimes being discussed are absolutely heinous. The reporting and editing are a bit sensationalist, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t gripped. An interesting aspect is how the reporter is trying to lift the suppression order on naming...Read full review »

This podcast is by far the best I’ve listened to in 2019. A proper investigative podcast, with twists & turns. Also a very emotional listen, I hope the families involved get some answers xxxx

Very interesting investigation into crimes I can’t believe I’ve never heard of before. The interviews were fantastic and loved that Deb was not afraid to call people on their own BS. I thought it was well researched and well done on getting suppression orders lifted

This case has always caught my attention and I was so happy someone is finally looking into it. BUT With everything found, and everything left out, one can assume the ending and conclusion found did not match what was shown and was only put in to fit Debi’s narrative. I am loving this. However, it seems that no research has gone into how gay men I interacted, the culture etc. it seem NO research had gone into that . Not that I am saying that gay men resort to murder , torture etc. No way! But I think additional research would provide better questioning.

This is a great podcast. Thoroughly investigated and compelling. Debis interviewing style is amazing. She is warm, disarming and very human but also not afraid to ask the very hard, confronting questions. Love the Foxtel series also.

Like the title said, the podcast is ok, but I just didn’t find the concluding episodes satisfying.

I have found it hard to follow this podcast, I know there is a TV special but for those who don’t want to subscribe to Foxtel it’s a difficult listen. I listen to a lot of podcast and the story in this is a good one but execution isn’t great:

Excellent podcast. Well researched and interviewed! It’s become an impatient wait each week for the next episode! Please keep the episodes coming Debi!

The Foxtel series was so draw-dropping I immediately watched the whole thing straight through again. This podcast seems to be heading more into the Family Murders. Despite the touting of the pocaster herself, there's absolutely nothing new here. Just trawling over the same old ground. I'm guessing they did not name the Eastern Suburbs businessman. This starts off so well, and in terms of content and production, it’s fantastic. Sadly, however, it is just a deliberate hook to make you subscribe to Foxtel to get the full story. This is one of the best try crime podcast, living in Adelaide at the time I find it an extremely important that this story gets out.
Adelaide Lad via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/15/19
Interesting podcast however inconsistent content. There is no real flow and some of the interviews are just speculation. Also the time that each episode is released is inconsistent.
reegeemee via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/15/19
I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts but this one is astounding. The research is incredible and Debi warm and raw. Can’t wait for the next episodes!
Ralphzone via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/15/19
Such a tragically horrible story told in a sensationalised way. I only listened to the first episode because of the way they rushed through the victims in the beginning and the tabloid descriptions of the interviewees. The ominous music cheapens these people’s experiences too
Jonesy52 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/13/19
I suspect Foxtel are trying to get customers. Great content but disjointed, patchy and hard to follow if you don’t have, or want, access to Murdoch’s giant BS machine.
