“I love this show. They get great guests and get down to the nitty gritty details. Guy asks insightful questions and prods to get great answers.
Which makes it unfortunate that there are so many problems with its production values. iMore shows in particular all seem to have more Skype issues than others. Words will be garbled, and sometimes whole sentences will just be dropped. More than once I’ve heard Guy ask questions followed by silence, then him ask a followup.
Also, it seems like whoever edits the show doesn’t actually listen to it because there is usually background noise throughout (keyboard sounds, clicking, throat clearing). Additionally, Skype recorder doesn’t pay attention to the mute switch. If a person mutes themselves, others on the Skype call won’t hear it, but it still show up in the recording. One show had Rene answer a phone (or talk to someone in person) while Guy was asking a question.
Recording double-enders and muting the tracks of people who aren’t speaking would vastly improve this show (and other iMore ones as well).”
