An oasis of common sense and decency
By attempting to have a guest with a relevant background in the field on each show, DSR handled the COVID-19 pandemic far better than most of its rival podcasts. It’s now doing the same with Ukraine. It still has occasional slips (they really should have got someone who knows what they’re talking about to discuss the ICC), but it’s a current affair podcast: it’s never going to get everything right. Yet they do make a great attempt at it.

If you only need five minutes of substance within 45 minutes of your podcast-listening time, this podcast is for you. Otherwise, it's best enjoyed with your finger on the fast-forward button. The inside banter and predictable digs can get very tiresome very quickly.Read full review »
