Brilliant journalism. Difficult conversations handled with dignity and respect….it’s been a while but the most profound conversation with the host and one of the females (apologies for being so vague) is when she is describing how much she understands the women who take their lives for the reward...Read full review »

Great podcast with so much research and insight. I’ve recommended it to others and it’s definitely worth sharing.

This series is mostly fabricated. I know the Chynoweth’s and the LeBaron’s very, very well, including folks who still live in MX in the “Colonia.” And much of this is highly fallacious. He doesn’t exactly speak to anyone in the true know.

I’ve been more interested (obsessed) with the flds and their history. I knew the really rough outline of what happened in this situation, but wanted to know more. This podcast really gives a breakdown of what happened by many people who experienced it first hand.

it depicts the print version of The Book of Mormon, published by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which has almost nothing to do with the content of this podcast except that it explicitly condemns the kind of behavior described in it.

I’ve always known a little about the Morman Church but this podcast took my knowledge to a whole new level. Very well researched and told. Thank you!!

Never have I listened to a podcast that was so impactful. It rocked me to the core & I’m not even Mormon. It’s a deeply moving psychological study into the human psyche and the resilience that some found.

This was an amazingly fascinating story. I had to keep reminding myself it wasn’t fiction. I have told several people they should listen to this one.

Good podcast, but it is literally impossible to hear anything of what Ross Ervil is saying in the old clips. As a journalist also working with radio it annoys me a lot when people use soundclips of such bad quality without explaining/relaying what the person is saying. Ruins a lot of episode 3 in...Read full review »

Found this really fascinating. Such a compelling twisting story told with real thought and sensitivity - but also really dramatic

Just epic. I’m on episode 11 and don’t want it to end.

This Podcast is bingeworthy! I loved the writing the narration and the interviews. I had little to no knowledge about the facts of this story-I really enjoyed learning about it!

A very well researched and presented podcast series! Just the right amount of episodes and a horrific yet fascinating story. Have already recommended.

Another tale of evil Mormon polygamist killers bringing their Disney religious nonsense to the good people of Mexico. They're all in a cult. This pod has too many commercials and normalizes goofy Trump loving behavior as religionRead full review »

Ervil has been dead over 40 years. His descendants do not form a part of the Mexico colony. Any recent/current cartel wars or other violence needs to stop being dramatized as linked to Ervil. Even mentally ill people deserve to be allowed to Rest In Peace.

A totally jaw-dropping unbelievable story told thoroughly and sensitively.

The writing, music, editing, and narration are all in sync to make you want to even listen twice.
Duncanomics via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/04/22
Narrative bounces around making the story hard to follow and the ridiculous amount of ads and recaps in every episode really takes you out of the story.

I was interested in the topic but he drags this out. Gave up during the third episode.

This is a crazy fascinating story that’s both gripping and pretty deep, so good I can’t wait to see where it goes

At the start I thought this was an audio book. I cannot believe it is describing true events! I need more asap
Euan R1 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/17/22
There’s an over abundance of ads in each of these episodes and they all sneak in without warning and go on for many minutes at a time. I’d really like the provider to focus more on providing the story at hand and less on selling other content.

I enjoyed that the narrator is Mormon and able to relate to the people being interviewed throughout. Narration is great.

Only 2 eps in and already hooked. Such an incredible story- hard to believe it’s true! Excited to listen to more of this- loving the music too.

This is fascinating. What an interesting and unexplored world.

The podcast includes so many rich details that makes you feel like you are in each scene. I also really appreciated that the host has a Mormon background. He is able to bring in some important context that I think someone without that background would have missed. Great podcast overall.
