“Lauren Laverne was okay as a stand in but as permanent replacement she is just not up to scratch. She is very nice, don’t get me wrong, but she doesn’t have the journalistic skill for interview so the interview element just bobs along. No one could ever be as bad as Sue Lawley who liked to inform her interviewee of their own life story and emotions, but could we not have someone more like Eddie Mair, absolutely able to get the most interesting side of a person to the fore with unintrusive skill? I only listen now if the person is of real interest to me whereas i used to like being suprised. Also it is terrible how you get the shortest snippet of music unless you can catch it live! Whatever happened to listen again for up to a month???? If we can’t have the music then the interview has got to be top notch!”
