“Oh, geeze... There is a reason 100% of the current reviews for this podcast give it 5 stars! This is a podcast where two long time game developers discuss classic games from a developer's standpoint. This is NOT a podcast where a group of internet celebrities talk out of their *ahem* about games. There's no drama or politics or yelling. There's no square space promo code (though let's be real, guys you need ads on this thing. You need to be getting paid for this quality work).
It's a chill, book-club-play-along-with-us type discussion on some of gaming's industry defining hits. GDC's two hosts are a joy to listen to, and I always learn something new with every episode. Even if it's a game I've beaten a dozen times over the years! It's especially fun when a developer on the game they are discussing comes in for an interview. Did you know there's a very famous Warcraft character who was named by randomly smashing keys on a keyboard? You would if you'd listen to GDC!

Listening to this podcast gives me a new perspective on the games that I have played and thought I...”Read full review »
